Dr. Nandita Singh has superannuated as Senior Principal Scientist and Head of Plant Ecology and Environmental Science Division at the CSIR-National Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow. At present she is engaged as Consultant Scientist at NBRI for Environmental Projects.
Dr. Singh has Masters and Ph.D. in Botany from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. She was awarded Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship through which she pursued second Masters in “Environmental Impact Assessment and Auditing” from University of Easy Anglia, UK. Here she also undertook Environmental Management System Implementation Course and is accredited Environmental Auditor by EARA (Environmental Auditors Registration Association) UK. She is also a recipient of US prestigious Fulbright Scholarship, under which she undertook research at University of Florida, Gainesville, USA focusing on arsenic hyperaccumulators.
Dr. Singh has made significant contributions in the area of Pollution and Plants through, Identification of Bio-indicators and Bio-monitors for air pollutants, heavy metals and pesticides, and using them in Phyto-remediation, Greenbelt Designing, and Ecotoxicological studies. She has also contributed in Climate Change studies focusing on various aspects of C-sequestration in forest ecosystem. Her recent contribution towards the society has been Environmental Impact Assessment studies for industries and development projects and Development of Environmental Knowledge Base Website (Topic -Plants and Pollution) – CSIR-ENVIS.
Her publication list consists of >120 high impact research papers (Google Scholar Citation: >9501 with H-index 48), besides chapters in books, articles and Scientific/Technical reports. Dr. Singh has edited book for Kluwer Academics, Netherland and is Editor of International Journal of Plant and Environment. She is an active member of various National and International professional bodies and serving as a subject expert reviewer for international journals. She is member of various committees in different organizations.
Dr. Singh has guided more 17 research scholars for their Ph.D. She has filed 6 patents out of which four– one US and three Indian have been granted. Dr. Singh has undertaken more than 30 projects from Government Organizations like DST, DBT, MoEF, MNES etc and various industries. She has also helped many industries to get environmental clearance through Environmental Impact Assessment studies.

Dr. S. Venkata Mohan is working as a Scientist in CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (CSIR-IICT), Hyderabad since 1998. He has done his B.Tech (Civil Engineering), M.Tech (Environmental Engineering) and Ph.D. from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati. Dr Mohan was Visiting Professor at Kyoto University (2005), Alexander von Humboldt (AvH) Fellow at Technical University of Munich, Germany (2001-02) and Kyung Hee International Fellow, South Korea (2018). Dr Mohan is placed in 2nd position in India and 29th position in World in the field of ‘Biotechnology’ by a Stanford University Study on 2% Global Scientist List. Dr. Mohan’s research majorly intendeds to understand and respond to the human-induced environmental changes in the framework of sustainability in the interface of Environment and Bioengineering. His research focuses on designing self-sustainable systems and technologies focusing on regenerative resource management through a nexus approach to enable waste as a potential feedstock towards the production of low-carbon energy/chemicals/materials. His research interests are in the area of Green chemicals and Fuels, Aciodogenesis, Micro-electrogenesis, Photosynthesis, CO2 Sequestration, Circular Bioeconomy, Waste Remediation, Ecological Restoration, and Sustainable Engineering. He also works on various industrial, societal and consultancy projects. He demonstrated the production of Green (Bio)Hydrogen with simultaneous waste remediation and established a first it's kind of waste fed biorefinery platform at the pilot scale. Dr. Mohan authored more than 390 research articles, 60 chapters for books, edited 5 books and has 9 patents. His publications had more than 22,500 citations with an H-index of 82 (Google Scholar). He has guided 29 PhDs, 2 M. Phils and more than 100 M.Tech/B.Tech/M.Sc students.

Dr visited several countries like the USA, the U.K., The Netherlands, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Turkey, China, Spain, Italy and Bangladesh in connection with delivering lectures. He edited/authored six books and published more than 250 research papers and is serving on the editorial board of several international journals. Prof. Udai Pratap Singh is Senior Professor and Dean Research at the School of Electronics Engineering, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (Deemed to be University), Institute of Eminence, Bhubaneswar.
Prof Singh has obtained his Ph. D. degree in Physics from Banaras Hindu University in 1993. He worked with Global Solar Energy (India) for 5 years on Thin Film Photovoltaic. Later he moved to University of Delaware, USA in year 2000 for Post Doc.
Dr Singh Joined KIIT University, Bhubaneswar in 2002. He has been invited as Visiting Consultant to Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), Taiwan in 2008-09. Dr Singh participated in Leadership for Academicians Program (LEAP) of MHRD organized by Banaras Hindu University in collaboration with Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore in 2019.
His research interest involves Thin film photovoltaics based on Cu(In,Ga)Se2, Cu2ZnSnS4 and CdTe materials both on flexible and rigid substrate. He also actively involves in Swift heavy ion modification of semiconducting oxide materials.
Dr Singh has handled several research projects as P.I. from different Govt funding agency viz. DST_SERB, DST_CERI, DRDO, MNRE, DAE_BRNS. Dr Singh is member of different scientific societies and has published nearly 80 papers in peer-reviewed journals

Prof Kavita Shah
Dr. Kavita Shah is presently a Professor and Coordinator of Mahamana Malaviya Research Centre for Ganga, River Development & Water Resource Management, at Banaras Hindu University. She completed her Ph.D. from Banaras Hindu University and her field of specialization includes Environmental Biochemistry, Stress physiology and Biotechnology. She has served as Director, Dean and Head at BHU. Dr. Shah is currently working on water, health and metal hyperaccumulator mediated remediation of contaminated sites. Dr. Shah has made novel contributions to the field of Metabolism, Molecular Biochemistry, Nanotechnology and Enzymology. Her major area of work includes the effect of abiotic stressors on tolerance, toxicity and signalling in rice, metal detoxification, transgenics development, are some of other areas of work. Her important contributions include development of enzyme based dopamine biosensor, process for purification of pectin-binding rice-peroxidase, development of multi-stress tolerant tomato lines, Cd/Heat/Salt/SA/JA/NO-induced stress-signalling in rice under changing climate, and studies pertaining to inhibitors of HIV protease, HIV integrase and N. meningitides vaccine constructs in silico using bioinformatics tools. Dr Shah has more than 20 years of experience working with the metal(loid)s in the environment. The outstanding contribution towards the environmental biotechnology field has earned Dr. Shah the prestigious “J C Bose Gold Medal Award-2016” of the Indian Society of Plant Physiologists, India in recognition of pioneering work in the field of biotechnology and biochemistry on 09 December 2016. Dr Shah was awarded the prestigious “Women Scientist Award-2011” of The Biotech Research Society, India in recognition of pioneering work in the field of Enzyme Technology and Biosensors on 21st November, 2012, recipient of Swiss Government Fellowship for Foreign students (2002), ‘BHU GOLD MEDAL’in 1992. Dr. Shah has handled 07 projects funded by Govt. of India including those from Department of Science and Technology, Department of Biotechnology, CSIR, UGC, Ministry of Environment Forest and Climate Change, etc. and has more than 75 papers,02 patent/process and 12 GenBank and 06 protein-model submissions to her credit.
Dr. Arvind Singh is currently working as an associate professor in Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad. His research interests includes "Marine Nitrogen Cycle, Ocean Biogeochemistry, Marine C:N:P Stoichiometry, Anthropogenic Impacts on Marine Nitrogen Cycling, Climate Change, Isotopic Fractionation Processes etc.
He has received several prestigious awards and recognitions including DST-Swarnajayanti Fellowship (2020-2021), Krishnan Medal(2020) and Alexander von Humboldt Researcher Alumni fellowship (January 2015) to name a few. Dr. Sanjeev has experience working with Chickpea and wheat. He has largely worked on temperature stress, drought stress, and heavy metal stress and identified heavy metal resistant bacteria from Bathinda region soil. Kumar group is primarily involved in increasing crop resilience by exposing plants to drought and understanding metabolic alterations. Dr. Kumar has completed research grants from UGC, CSIR and DST-SERB. He has guided Five Ph.D, 16 M.Phil, and ~ 30 M.Sc. Students. He was conferred Research awards in 2018 and 2020 by the University for accumulating impact factor more than 15 in an academic year. Dr. Kumar is also involved in raising a Botanical Garden sponsored under the Assistance to Botanical garden scheme MOEF&CC.
